Story of Stuff

The Story of Stuff showed me many things about American consumerism and its impact on the earth. I know that this linear system of gathering, consumption and disposal cannot suffice in a world with limited resources.

I buy sparingly and don't waste much, I believe that if something still works, there is no need to replace it, even if the new version looks better. There are some things I have wasted but I try to even it out.

I myself already shop and carry my lunch in reusable bags. Instead of throwing out food, I make something new with the leftovers like a quesadilla. I try to be a proper consumer but with a system like this, it can be difficult.
